io's mission is to revolutionize lighting by creating LED luminaires that provide innovative, energy efficient, sustainable illumination. io designs and manufactures technically advanced, environmentally friendly LED lighting solutions which seek to meet the needs of design professionals such as The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and The American Institute of Architects (AIA).

io's
commitment exclusively to LEDs as the light source allows us
to deliver lighting fixtures that intellectually lead the industry
both aesthetically and technically. Aesthetically, io's luminaire offerings are not saddled with large bulbous light
sources (i.e. Incandescent, fluorescent...); our light bulb
is a printed circuit board - which is flat! This new bulb architecture
has enabled io's award winning designers the ability to develop vanguard luminaire
design alternatives. Technically, io integrates thermal, optical and power design requirements into
the beginning stages of the product development process. The
results are highly synchronized, modular solutions.
io has
a highly talented team of veteran lighting, technical and executive
management professionals that combine the necessary expertise
and creativity to deliver against our mission. io has produced four product lines since the launch of the company
in 2002. Since then, has won five product design awards including
Best of Show at Lightfair 2004. io's luminaries are suited for a variety of indoor and outdoor architectural
applications including building demarcation, wall washing, grazing,
pathway illumination, cove lighting, wall sconces, casework
and sign lighting.
io's headquarters are located in Vernon Hills, IL, a northwest suburb of Chicago
